Program Name

Master of Engineering Program in Environmental Engineering (M.Eng. Environmental Engineering)

Vision

Master of Engineering Program in Environmental Engineering focuses on producing graduates with the high-level academic knowledge, especially targeted industry and future industry (S-Curve), which is an important mechanism to enhance the competitiveness of country. The curriculum offers coursed on environmental engineering technology such as technology for improving water quality and wastewater treatment, air pollution control, solid waste and hazardous waste management and circular economy

Mission

To provide high-quality graduate education in Environmental Engineering that integrates theoretical knowledge, advanced technologies, and practical applications in accordance with international standards; to develop graduates with strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills capable of addressing environmental challenges in regional communities and industrial sectors; to promote research and innovation in support of sustainable development, particularly under the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) economy framework and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); to foster collaboration with industry, government, and communities, especially in Southern Thailand, in order to generate practical and impactful solutions; and to cultivate professional ethics, social responsibility, leadership, effective communication skills in both Thai and English, as well as a commitment to lifelong learning and continuous professional development

Program Educational Objective
  1. Graduates possess cognitive knowledge and intellectual skills to apply concepts, theories, and bodies of knowledge in environmental engineering to address community problems in the regional context and Southern industrial sectors, in accordance with international standards.
  2. Graduates are capable of applying research methodologies to solve environmental engineering problems in regional communities and Southern industrial sectors, in alignment with the Bio-Circular-Green Economy (BCG) model, the 20-Year National Strategy, and/or international development frameworks, particularly the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  3. Graduates demonstrate analytical skills in mathematics, along with proficiency in information technology and communication for environmental engineering practice, and the ability to pursue lifelong learning for continuous self-development.
  4. Graduates exhibit the ability to work effectively in teams, both as leaders and followers, possess strong communication skills in environmental engineering contexts, and uphold academic integrity and professional ethics in addressing environmental issues.
Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
  • PLO1 Propose appropriate environmental management approaches for Southern industrial sectors in compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • PLO2 Design environmental pollution management systems for Southern industrial sectors based on sustainability-oriented economic concepts.
  • PLO3 Utilize information technology for effective information retrieval to support lifelong learning.
  • PLO4 Work collaboratively with others, demonstrating the ability to function effectively as both a leader and a team member to achieve common goals.
  • PLO5 Present design outcomes or study results accurately in both Thai and English.
  • PLO6 Demonstrate responsibility and uphold academic integrity and professional ethics in assigned tasks.
