Plan A 1 — Academic Track (Research-Intensive)
Thesis-Only Track
For candidates with strong research aptitude who wish to pursue an advanced research-focused Master's degree through original thesis work.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Sciences, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- In addition to the educational background requirement, applicants must satisfy at least one of the following criteria:
- Hold a cumulative GPA of ≥ 3.00 from the Bachelor's degree program.
- Demonstrate hands-on research experience in a relevant field, evidenced by research output that has been published, disseminated, or formally certified in an academic or professional context.
- Possess other qualifications considered acceptable at the discretion of the Program Management Committee on a case-by-case basis.
Plan A2 Academic Track (Coursework + Research)
Coursework + Thesis Track
For candidates combining structured coursework with a research thesis component — ideal for those building both theoretical depth and practical expertise.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Sciences, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- In addition to the educational background requirement, applicants must satisfy at least one of the following criteria:
- Hold a cumulative GPA of ≥ 2.50 from the Bachelor's degree program.
- Possess other qualifications considered acceptable at the discretion of the Program Management Committee on a case-by-case basis.
Graduation Criteria
Plan A1 — Thesis-Only Track
- Candidates must submit a completed thesis and pass a final oral defense conducted before an official Thesis Examination Committee — in an open-access public session welcoming interested observers. The thesis or part thereof must be Published in an academic journal or equivalent outlet, or Published in an academic journal or equivalent outlet, or
- All candidates must pass or receive an exemption from the Graduate School's Foreign Language Proficiency Assessment as prescribed in the official announcement governing language skills evaluation for Master's and Doctoral program graduates.
- Candidates must fulfill any additional conditions formally announced and updated by Prince of Songkla University
Plan A2 — Coursework + Thesis Track
- Candidates must complete all program-required courses with a cumulative GPA of ≥ 3.00 on a 4-point scale (or equivalent), submit a thesis, and pass a final oral defense before an official Thesis Examination Committee in an open-access public session. The thesis (or part thereof) must be published in an academic journal or equivalent outlet, or disseminated in a searchable form — as an article, innovation, invention, or other academic work — as specified by the University Council.
- All candidates must pass or receive an exemption from the Graduate School's Foreign Language Proficiency Assessment as prescribed in the official announcement governing language skills evaluation for Master's and Doctoral program graduates.
- Candidates must fulfill any additional conditions formally announced and updated by Prince of Songkla University
